I decided to try a new format with short tips. If you like it, I will continue. The tips themselves are as simple as possible, but if you still have questions, write in the comments and I will provide more context and instructions.
- Add tags to your channel in the channel settings. This will help the algorithms understand your channel’s topic and help it appear in search results.
- Add links to social networks in the channel appearance settings. Build a media empire and let your audience stay up to date with new publications.
- Enable additional channel functionality. To do this, confirm your phone number and upload a scanned copy of your documents or go through video verification.
- Create playlists and add descriptions to them. It would seem that many people forget about playlist descriptions, but they are perfectly indexed by algorithms.
- Enable video upload with link access by default. This will prevent you from accidentally publishing a video that hasn’t been customized.
- Specify the age audience of your channel in the default post settings. This will speed up the publication of new videos, as YouTube will ask you every time what audience you’ve created the content for.
- Specify a channel nickname to get a good link. For example, “www.youtube.com/@your channel name”.
- Add a channel logo in the appearance settings. This is not just an avatar, but a button in the upper right corner of the video. Usually, I use a png with the words “subscribe. By clicking on it, you can subscribe to the channel.
- Create a link with an automatic subscription to the channel. It looks like “Link to your channel + sub_confirmation=1” and place it in the video description.
- Review the video you’ve already uploaded and make sure there are no copyright complaints. It is better to fix problems with music or video clips before publishing.
